This beautiful photo of the Jacaranda was taken by Neville Briggs. There are many Jacaranda trees where I live, I have one in my own garden and the beautiful carpet of mauve blossoms that appears beneath them every year never fails to delight me, even though in truth they are messy trees. I love to see them come into bloom around the same time that the blazing red Poinciana trees share their blossoms. They truly complement each other.
